“ Southern Africa – Cape Town to Victoria FallsThis summer I went with Motoaventures on their Cape Town to Victoria falls adventure and it was amazing! The journey of a life time! Breathtaking landscapes, extraordinary people, beautiful Safaris! The true African experience! Everything was very well organized, fully prepared for a journey like this! Motoaventures really know what they are doing! Congrats Su and John! You are the best! I will return soon!
“ Andorra & the Southern Pyrenees - 2 days biking Off RoadWe’d done a few trips with Motoaventures prior to booking for the 2 Day Weekend Andorra tour, but actually I think it’s a great first trip to book. It’s a weekend on the bike, short and sweet but there’s plenty packed into those days, with river crossings and off road trails - there’s a lot to get your teeth into.
I was in the 4x4 with Su and Lee was biking then we met up at various points and lunch each day – the food was exceptional and there was a lot of it! The dinner spots were treasures that only the locals would know of, and we were all greeted as such. We went on most of the trails that the bikes did and had our own adventures which we then compared notes with the bikers on each evening.
An added bragging points extra for us was the fantastic footage that we got from the drone that flew above the bikers at various points throughout the day – it’s sometimes difficult to describe what you’ve been up to once home, but 30 seconds of footage tells people everything they needed to know – and prompted a lot of ‘Is that you?!’ responses. This footage was made available to anyone that wanted a copy at no extra cost, and was all in 4K so very high quality. A brilliant memento.
All in all, I think this is a great trip for the beginner and experienced riders alike – the company was great and accommodation picture perfect. It was only a few days but such a break from the usual day to day that we felt like we’d been away weeks.
Very highly recommended.
“ Southern Africa – Cape Town to Victoria FallsI remember landing at the airport in Cape Town/SA and walking out after declaring our luggage…up until that time we had no clue as to what to expect from this bucket list travel me and my wife both had signed up for…. It was just blank
And there he was, we were greeted by a gentlemen in a black suite holding a sign a with our names on it. After a short walk , we had reached the car that was to take us to our luxurious hotel… in a Mercedes-Benz. Folks sometimes it is the small details as such that gives the biggest impressions ever .We knew we were in good hands and boy oh boy….it was the start of an amazing journey that we still get goose bumps to this day when we talk about it.
This was such a unique adventure unlike anything we had ever been to .It almost felt as though we were travelling on our own or with a small group of our friends...conquering Africa that is….. yet we always had that comfortable feeling in the back of our minds that Su ,John and their team was never too far behind should we needed them
We stayed at the most luxurious resorts that could be found on route, It was such a treat to know that after a long days of riding in Africa…we knew there was always a treat waiting for us at the end of the day. This was a top notch trip from beginning to end. It was organized very professionally.
The friendships that was made during this trip still goes on very strong to this day. We have returned to Africa since the first trip and did the second leg with Su and John...and it was as good as the first one…as Johnny Maroc would say “In Sha’Allah” ( god willing ) we hope to return again one day
We would highly recommend this trip to anyone without any hesitation…that once in a life time , bucket list thing that everyone talks about……this is that !

“ Andorra & the Southern Pyrenees - 5 days biking Off RoadSo, we booked another off-road experience with Motoaventures, this being our third in as many years. This time it was off to Andorra, and we flew in to Barcelona Airport and had a very small wait for our transfer (this being by AndorraBus and arranged by Motoaventures as part of the package) A very pleasant 3-hour journey through very picturesque scenery in a modern well-appointed mini-bus was fine and the time flew by.
We stayed at the Hotel Coma in Ordino and although slightly dated but very much in keeping, the rooms and welcome were first rate. Breakfast and evening meal is part of the package; however, I would factor in a few nights eating out as the evening meal menu is somewhat limited. We were met by Johnny and Su in the evening for a general welcome and de-brief, lubricated by a few well-earned beers.
The fun began at around 9am the next day, with the 5 ‘guests’ together with Jonny acting as guide set out. We all rode on Motoaventures well prepared and easily capable 2016 KTM EXC500’s, and given that a small proportion of the days out is on-road the RH rear view mirror was a welcome addition. Most days started with a short ride across the border to Spain and then up (and up) into the hills. The scenery can only be described as breath-taking, the regular stops to enjoy the view and receive a bit of local history made the experience more enjoyable. The riding would easily suit any rider with a small amount of off-road experience, however I got the distinct impression that our guide tailors the route to suite the team’s ability. There was some gnarly bits but nothing impossible or dangerous. Our trip was towards the back end of May 2017, which meant that there was still snow on the mountains and this just has to be played in. The riding will suit all but the most hard-core enduro rider, and would best be described as very long ‘green-laning’
Each day at around 1pm the team stops at a local restaurant / café, pre-booked by Motoaventures so a seat, table and great food is guaranteed. Every riding day you’re treated to the very best in local cuisine and this is an experience to savour, the amount and quality of food is amazing. This is further enhanced by stunning locations and warm welcome so don’t expect a fast food experience – this is holiday dining at its best. After a long lazy lunch its back to the trails and to fabulous site seeing, that is if you can manage to lift yourself back onto the bike. Relax and enjoy, that is the order of the day!
Every morning (after breakfast) you’ll find the bikes prepared (and repaired if necessary) and ready for another day in hill over Andorra. Hats off to all at Motoaventures for another thoroughly thought out and executed biking experience – I cannot recommend it highly enough.
“ Morocco 7 day Desert - 5 days bikingAnother epic adventure with Motoaventures. Our group included 9 bikes and 5 buggies and it worked fantastically well.
