“ All Women Desert tour 2020This was one of the best adventures of my life. Morocco is stunningly beautiful. The people are so warm and welcoming. Seeing the desert while on dirt bikes is the best experience.
“ Warm Heart of Africa AdventureI always dreamed of knowing Africa on a motorcycle. Crossing borders, living different cultures, seeing incredible landscapes, unique animal life, while living the adventure of a life time!
It finally happened! This was already my second trip to Africa with motoaventures. It was amazing. Su and John really know what they are doing. A trip through Africa, thoroughly well organised but still filled with adventure. T.I.A! (This is Africa!) Really breathtaking landscapes, incredible friendly people, overwhelming animal life in their natural habitats, fantastic lodges surrounded by nature, far away from the tourist crowds....... and always on a motorbike!
An experience I will never forget! I truly recommend!

“ South Africa & LesothoFor me the Lesotho tour was intended to be the trip of a lifetime, and represented several personal firsts; first tour with strangers, first time ever in Africa, first time off road & first time on a GS Adventure. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but whatever it was I had hoped for I got by the bucketload.
We were a group of mixed ability and experience, but we all found the roads sublime, providing a fantastic mix of corners, climbs and descents, all against a backdrop of majestic scenery, but with one or two surprises to keep your heart rate up. As a novice I found the off-road sections initially fairly challenging, but the reward was to take us deep into rural Lesotho and as my confidence and ability grew I was increasingly able to enjoy where were going, what we were seeing and the people we met.
Very particular thanks must go to Johnny and Su. Johnny was an outstanding shepherd; happy for us to roam and go at our own pace, but visible enough for us to feel reassured and safe, and to help out if anyone needed it. He is also an inspirational rider showing even the most experienced how it’s done, from crossing rivers to executing unplanned dismounts with balletic elegance!
As for Su, well, they say the sign of great organization is it’s invisibility, and no matter what curve-balls we threw at her things just seemed to happen by a mix of magic and telepathy. The lodges she arranged varied from the rustic and remote to the luxurious, and we wanted for nothing. As if that wasn’t enough she also followed us down the same routes in the support vehicle and trailer, making her the best off-roader of the lot, and yet still found time to take all the photos we wished we had.
What a trip – I can’t speak highly enough of Johnny, Su and my fellow travellers. Thank you all for making it so special!
“ Morocco 6 day Mini Mountain & Desert - 4 days bikingI went with a bunch of friends in November. I left with aches that’ll last short to mid term but memories that’ll last forever. It was superb. The support from the team was great - Jon, Su, Hussein, Michelle and Maryam looked after us and kept me laughing. The route was beautiful if challenging for me but how else do you learn. Loved it, every damn bit. Thank you all

“ Morocco 7 day Desert - 5 days bikingHi Su & John,
I would like to thank you again for a superbly organized tour. For me it was a once in a lifetime experience and I enjoyed every minute of it. Everything worked out very well. On our way back we had to leave at six in the morning an the man who carried our luggage turned up at a quarter to six ! Amazing ! That was a really nice trip.
“ Morocco 7 day Desert - 5 days bikingThis trip was in conjunction with Sideburn magazine. From the start till the end I could not fault. John and Su and team have the job sewn up. Faultless daily organisation, high quality KTM bikes kept to an impeccable standard by Hussein the mechanic, routes taking you through breathtaking landscape, accommodation of a high standard and a night under the stars, you must sleep outside! Great food delicious Tagines and more, guaranteed good weather.
The list goes on. I shall return in the future for sure so to end anyone considering this trip do not I say again do not hesitate just book it!
Cheers for now JT
“ Morocco 7 day Desert - 5 days bikingA few weeks ago I came back from my 7 day tour.
This was my second tour with Motoaventures this year, and definitely not the last one. I'm already planning a trip back for next year.
The whole Motoaventures team is fantastic and they will make sure you are having the best time.
Their bikes are very well maintained and Hussein, main mechanic is top man. Always ready to help you out with settings etc.
Routes are wonderfully challenging and exciting.
Accommodation is great and food is delicious you won't be hungry...
Back up vehicle is never to far behind, so you can ride happily knowing help is coming in case you need them.
And Morocco is an absolutely stunning country that needs to be seen.
Thank you to the whole Motoaventures team for a great time and see you in 2020.
“ Warm Heart of Africa AdventureMy experiences on the Heart of Africa Adventure 2019 were so phenomenal that it now seems surreal.
Su, John and Dan the medicine man made a rich blend of care, laughter and extraordinary audio and visual wonderment.
Thank you for the Trip of My Life (so far). :-)
“ Warm Heart of Africa AdventureHello all --
This morning I took the second to last of my malaria pills. When I take the very last one tomorrow and our adventure slides firmly to the past, I will be bereft. I sat in dull meetings this week and thought "All in all, I'd rather be hitting speed bumps in Malawi right now." My comfort zone will never be the same.
I want to thank all of you for the amazing experience -- I was amazed in the true sense of that word: surprised, astonished and filled with wonder. It was an eye, mind and heart opening experience. John and Su -- thank you for the immensely hard work of arranging and leading us (and thank you, Steve, for asking us to come along).
I hope the Australians left Capetown standing and are back home, ready to receive house guests soon. Dan, Aurelie, Martine and Joao, I intend us to have another dance party in some new and interesting spot, ideally with better speakers next time. Daniel -- we'll be in touch about Patagonia. Josh and Peter -- we're practically neighbors by the standards of this group (and Dave will be in Colorado in July). Eddie -- we'll look you up when we're in London (Dan can join us for a trip to Spice Village). And Joao, our plans for Portugal in May are beginning to percolate.
Consider DC -- it's beautiful here for at least 16 or 17 days a year. Come visit.
