Here are a few important things you should know with regards to your safety when coming on a Moto Aventures Touring holiday:

·         All Moto Aventures staff carry some form of First Aid Training.

·         Our assistance vehicle(s) follow the same track as the bikes do so are always behind.

·         Our assistance vehicle(s) carry a wide range of medical supplies.

·         Both the assistance vehicle and the guide on motorcycle carry satellite telephones so as to be available at all times and we have an additional unit we give out within the group.

We are the only company we know of in the touring business, that carries three satellite phones as part of their safety measures. One of the satellite telephones is installed in our assistance vehicle - meaning a permanent connection is available should it be needed regardless of where we are. Our guide always carries a portable satellite phone in his backpack, so the group can establish a link with the assistance vehicle, or elsewhere at any time, and another biker within one of the other groups will be carrying the third unit.

We also offer use of our sat phones to clients should they need to call from somewhere where mobile phone coverage is nonexistent. It must be said though that mobile coverage in Southern Africa is expanding at a very high rate and most places we travel to will be within coverage.
