Cape Town to Victoria Falls with Charley Boorman & Ross Noble
Join us on this epic, nearly 5.000km (3.000m +), 16 day adventure from “Africa’s Fairest Cape” to the “Smoke That Thunders”, a journey through some of the world’s most beautiful scenery, meeting some of the friendliest people and riding some of the best tracks.
We are very excited to be able to announce that we have joined forces with the well known motorbike adventurer Charley Boorman ("Long Way Down", "By Any Means" etc... fame!) and he will be on the tours to guide and assist you plus recount some of his endless experiences had while travelling the world on his BMW with Ewan McGregor.
And on this opening leg of the tour, Charley will be accompanied by a long-time friend, Ross Noble, an award-winning live stand-up comedian who, amongst other things, has made many appearances on BBC 1’s ‘Have I Got News For You‘, and a regular on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Just a Minute‘ & ‘I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue‘.
He's no newcomer to motorbikes, having aired his UK series last autumn "Ross Noble's Australian Trip" where he travelled the length and breadth of Australia on a BMW. He also competed in the hardcore 24hr enduro, the "Dawn till Dusk" last year with teamate Billy Ward (one of our guides) and is a regular track day aficionado.
Charley is a great guy to travel with – and let’s face it he’s done a fair bit. This will be a biketrip of a lifetime!
He is aided by our other experienced guides, and you will ride top of the line BMW R1200 GS motorcycles and stay in great accommodation including a couple of nights in more local places so you get even more of an insight into the country and their culture. Along the way you will have plenty of opportunities to take part in optional activities such as game viewing, helicopter and fixed wing flights, sun downer drives and cruises not to mention the multitude of adrenalin activities awaiting you on arrival at the Victoria Falls.
Treat yourself to the best! This adventure is suitable for all types of riders although some off road experience is recommended, especially for those considering bringing a pillion. We have included a two day training course at the “BMW Off Road Skills” school in Wales where Si Pavey (of 7-times Dakar-legend-fame) and his staff, will be giving you the best tuition and advise possible to maximise to the full your adventure with us.
Simon originally trained both Charley and Ewan and was in the "Long Way Down" and "Race to Dakar" TV series. A real opportunity of a lifetime getting to meet so many well known people from the biking world.
