YOUR SAFETY
This is an extremely important issue to us, and one that MOTO AVENTURES has spent a lot of time and money investigating, so as to enable us to offer our clients the best possible service.
Garmin GPS

We are unique in that we offer you the possibility of using one of our GPSs during your tour with us. We use the robust Garmin GPS Map 60CS with colour screen and 10.000 track points, and have 13 units available installed with a track point every 25 meters giving peace of mind and security. All you have to do is keep the arrow on the coloured line. Each morning we load that days tracks into the GPSs. This has made things both more interesting for you, the riders, as well as allowing as many as 5 different small groups to be operating at their own comfortable speed between the guide with the faster lead group and the assistance vehicle following behind, completely removing the feeling of holding up the faster bikers that the slower paced bikers used to feel. This has been proved to be one of the main causes of accidents on an off-road tour. (An additional deposit of 200 euros is required if you have a GPS installed on your bike.) We regularly update, and check our routes before the beginning of each season, as Morocco is continually putting down asphalt somewhere, as well as searching out new tracks and trails so that our repeat clients can experience new places.
Sat Phones
Altho ugh mobile phones work in most of the hotels we stay in, there is no coverage on a large percentage of our Moroccan tours, where we are biking totally off the beaten track.
We are the only company we know of in the off road tour business, that carries three satellite phones as part of their safety measures. One of the satellite telephones is installed in our assistance vehicle - meaning a permanent connection is available should it be needed regardless of where we are. Our guide always carries a portable satellite phone in his backpack, so the group can establish a link with the assistance vehicle, or elsewhere at any time, and another biker within one of the other groups will be carrying the third unit.
We also offer use of our sat phones to clients should they need to call from somewhere that mobile phone coverage is non existent – Berber tent in the desert for example.
As sistance & back-up vehicle.
When out on tour at least one of our mechanics travels in the assistance vehicle. This carries our medical equipment such as stretcher, splints and oxygen, a very extensive first aid box, a permanent satellite phone link, as well as your baggage. Our guide also carries a first aid kit as well as small pieces of medical equipment in his backpack.
